I am a graduate student who loves music and cinema. I sing well and play a bit of guitar. I just picked up the harmonica.

Music - jazz (Monk, Mingus), trip-hop, psychedelic rock, 1910s-1930s and 1950s-1980s popular music, classical (my favorite symphony is Mahler's second).

I definitely prefer film over television. Would love to see Kubrik's _2001_ and _Star Wars_ (1977) on the silver screen.

I love good science fiction - both film (check out Tarkovsky) and literature (_Dune_, PKD).

I often ponder existence.
I am more comfortable with deep conversation than with small talk.
I am well traveled and well read. I speak some German.
I hope to meet someone artistic, eloquent, and philosophical.
