I'd like to find someone who has similar interests as I do. I guess that's the obvious. Boy writing these things up is tough
I'm out going and enjoy being outdoors, that's why I live in AZ. I'm well traveled. Now one of my favorite spots is the Bay area, to visit my boys and granddaughter. In the summer I love to spend time out on Cape Cod, or Lake Tahoe.
What makes me unique is I'm not afraid to go on new adventures, meet new people. I love talking with people about all manner of topics. I also am comfortable just hanging out doing nothing, it's good for the soul, to regroup and recharge your batteries every once and awhile, doing it with someone your fond of is even better.
I'm a child of the 60's and love rock n' roll, but my kids have introduced me to some great music of today. Amos Lee, Amee Mann, Jack Johnson. I also like classical and blues, actually I guess the only music I don't like is is hiphop and rap.

First dates are tough, and can bring with them a lot of anxiety. But I've found that if the date has a specific destination, say going to dinner, or a wine bar, or someplace to listen to music, things calm down and can turn out to be lots of fun. I love getting to know my dates, and what they are interested in, their families, if they like to travel where there favorite destination is. If they enjoy hiking where they like to hike. I think a first date can tell a lot as to how compatible you may be.
