I just moved back to Chicago, and want to make the most of my time here. I absolutely love Chicago - it's my favorite city in the U.S. But it's a shame it's in Illinois. It's an island in a sea of corn.

I've found that great friends are necessary to truly enjoy Chicagoland. That's where you come in.

I love to laugh and make others laugh. I love to bike (bicycle that is). I love to teach – I’ve taught for over ten years. I'm a huge math / science and technology geek, and relish an in depth conversation about anything that makes me think. I prefer an empty wallet and a full passport – I currently have both. Who am I looking for? I’m looking for one of the smart ones. Someone who has a sense of humor tuned into the absurd. Someone who’s wit is so sharp she can return the unforeseen absurd comment with an even more absurd volley without batting an eye. Someone who appreciates a good inside joke. But most importantly, someone who truly enjoys life.

A good first date is something enjoyable for both, and that also lets you get to know the person. A few of the things I like to do that would make a good first date:

feast and kick back at Ravinia,
eat outside at a few of the bazillion cafes that popped up during my absence,
quaff a Franziskaner in a beer garden,
bike rides along the lake,
meander through neighborhood / art festivals,
spend a day at the Art Institute, MCA, MSI…,
discover a few more obscure ethnic restaurants,
Shiroi Hana for some cheap sushi,
