It's been a while but I'm back in the dating game. I'm looking to start off real slow and not jump into any relationship, but see how and where things go. Eventually I'm looking for long term leading to more, but I'd really like to take things slow at first giving the time and space needed. I'm an aspiring writer, and my priority lies with that. Not that there's not room for a relationship, but I'm very serious about my goals. I am Jewish, but non-practicing.

About me - moved out here a few years ago from New York and finished up my degree, now onto pursuing the "bigger picture." Yes, I am "one of those" New Yorkers in LA who complain there is never a decent slice of pizza and LA traffic sucks (the natives do that as well) but I do plan on staying here. I am a Laker hater and Mets fan, so as much as I'm into sports, my teams are a big disappointment as of late.

I'm a self-admitted geek who loves comedy (Seinfeld, Curb, South Park, Family Guy - now add Modern Family to that list) along with sci-fi and comics, good novels, along with plenty of "films" to accompany crappy movies.

As far as who I'm looking for, I am attracted to ambitious, goal-oriented women. I'm not saying that you have to be a CEO of a company or anything, just someone who strives to make a difference in their lives, in attempting to better themselves in someway - be it career wise, education or even hobbies.

PS - If you're into anything that could even remotely be considered a "cult" or "cult" like, please do not contact me. If you are very religious, I ask the same. I respect others ideas and beliefs but some things are not for me.

First dates are about getting to know one another, so the traditional coffee or drinks route while maybe unoriginal, is always a good choice in my opinion.
