Hey New Friend,
My preference would be to email for a bit so we can get a feel for each other’s personalities, and then decide whether or not to proceed. If either of us does not feel right about it, then no harm no foul!

I am 44 and recently divorced after a marriage of over 25 years. I am enjoying reconnecting with old friends and acquaintances, but am also looking for new people to smile and laugh with. I am not looking for a relationship, I am looking for a friend and someone to do things with that is looking for the same. Some of that is spending time with a man as a friend and maybe romantically.

Eventually I would like to find someone to share my life with. I believe in being friends first! If Mr Right were to happen along… I believe two people need to be the best person they can be independently, and then when together they can be great. I want someone who will be my best friend and my lover. Someone whom I can share all of me with and trust them enough to tell them everything I need and want knowing that they would do all they could to meet those needs or wants. Needless to say I would want and do the same for them. A relationship requires communication and cooperation and we would work together to make each other’s lives as full as they can be!

I appear shy until I get to know someone. I am generally quiet, but love to laugh and have fun. I don’t drink or smoke. I have two children ages 25 and 22 who are the lights of my life; they both live in the area and I am active in their lives. I spend time with my mother; family is very important to me. I have many friends and am also active in their lives. All types of personalities intrigue me. I am very laid back and just enjoy being with friends and family getting to know that one more little thing that makes them the special person they are.

I am left brained but love to watercolor paint. I am innately organized but not to a fault. I believe and live by the golden rule. I believe everyone should have time alone to think what they want to think, do what they want to do, and to be themselves. Characteristics that are important include honesty, integrity, and respectfulness, compassion, being humble, helpful, kind, considerate, and yes, romantic. I do not respect people who are jealous, egocentric, condescending, judgmental, rude, disrespectful, and controlling. My goal is to put a smile on someone’s face or make a difference in someone’s life each day.

The sound of rain, babbling brooks, or the ocean is relaxing for me. I love waterfalls and thunderstorms. I enjoy long walks in a park, on a trail or at the beach. I enjoy traveling the back roads, finding the small towns, meeting the people, and people watching. I do not watch TV. I love movies but cannot tolerate torture and gore. I enjoy cooking and baking but my favorite foods are those others have cooked/baked for me. I enjoy making my home a comfortable and beautiful place to be both inside and out. I love hugs; I believe you can never have too many hugs!!! I love to be surprised. When someone takes the time to learn enough about you and care enough to put together something just for you, there is nothing more special!!!
