I'm back home in Virginia after being in England for grad school and am starting to apply for jobs now so wish me luck! I love to travel, go shopping, go out to eat (or stay in) and go to the theater. I've recently started running and have completed three 5Ks and I hope to one day run a half marathon. I'd also like to become more involved in some outdoor activities I used to enjoy when I was younger, like skiing, kayaking/canoeing, hiking, etc. I would like to find someone with whom I can share these kinds of activities, and hopefully try some activities that he enjoys as well. Friendship is always a great place to start and if it turns into something more then that's even better. Honesty and trust are big with me; I don't think friendships or relationships are possible if those two things aren't there. I don't mean to be a grammar snob, but I would appreciate it if messages I receive attempt to use proper spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, etc. As far as what type of guy I'm looking for I don't really have a type, and race doesn't matter, but I do have to admit that I'm not fond of piercings or tattoos. I'm not a big phone person so if you're looking for someone to spend hours talking on the phone to, I'm not that girl.

Some of the movies that I like are 300, The Usual Suspects, Inglorious Basterds, Beetlejuice, Lock, Stock.., the James Bond movies, Small Soldiers, Chicago, Muriel's Wedding, Contact.

Some of my favorite TV shows are Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Ugly Betty, Brothers & Sisters, Cold Case, Castle, The Real Housewives of..., Survivor, Drop Dead Diva, Doctor Who.

I think the best first dates are ones where you can talk and get to know each other. I love being by the water so maybe grabbing a bite to eat/something to drink and then walking along the waterfront.
