Divorced dad with two wonderful children ( sharing custody) i have workd 17 years as a police officer, and also am in the army national guard. Have a lot to share and do not like to go out alone . i am mature and self suffecient. I do not play games or want to be played. I beleive in honesty and affection. I am a very old fashioned man. I still beleive chivalry is not dead, I still want to hold doors and stand when someone enters room. I still sir and Ma'am. I beleive that in social events the most important person in the room is the one I am with. I beleive when someone is conversing with me give them my full attention. I love romance and affection. I like PDA I like to hold hands . I am not clingy but like to feel needed . I know I will always be second to children, but I want to be a choice in someones life not and option. I do not think that is asking too much. I like to feel needed and necessary in a relationship. I hate to argue over silly things, I do not beleive a relationsip is 50/50 rather, one partner picks up the slack for the other whether it is 6/40 or 90/10 that is why it is a partnership. I beleive in doing things with the kids but look forward to "dating" the one I am with . even if in a relationship, I feel this is necessary to keep things fresh.

I do not play golf or need "guys night out" I like sports but would rather watch a movie on tv. I like to play cards but do not gamble. I love history, and revel in visiting historical places. I love to travel and see new things, I still miss being stationed in europe and take pride in being a former german linguist during heart of cold war. I would rather go to a museum than a sports bar. I love to get dressed up and go to "the show" I love the arts. I like to shopping with a lady and to spoil the ones i love . I enjoy cooking and think I am pretty damn good at it lol.

I beleive and practice honesty, I have burned by deceit in my past, but not bitter and lettign it control, just do not "overlook it now". I beleive, that if I am doing something someone does not like TELL ME, I would rather know than not. Otherwise, this can crate tension in the future, I will do the same. I think that is the mature way to handle things.

Would love to find someone to go to the gym with me. Would love to find a woman who is comfortabel in jeans and hiking boots, but not afraid to wear a skirt and heels !!someone who is comfortable with me wearing a pony tail but still likes to get her hair and nails done.

I am a hopeless romantic and love to spoil a woman, I grew up with etiquette and still practice it , I spoil ladies, and like to be a man . (but not a chauvinist) it makes me feel good to be the one to get the bug off the wall lol

Coffee and converstion, maybe dinner? A chance to talk, maybe and outdoor festival?
