About Me:
Once you get past the conservative side, you will soon learn that I'm a nut. How do I explain my independence from the norm, i.e.: I’m a Republican but I overwhelmingly voted for and endorsed Barack Obama for president. Personally, I’m a nice, successful gentleman looking to share his life with my true soul mate. I'm the proud father of two beautiful daughters, ten and seven years old. My former wife and I have been amicably divorced living in separate states for several years now. I'm past the breakup and excited to unite with someone good for the both of us and our family. Friendship is not at all out of the question. It's welcomed. My career in the defense industry has been rewarding and lucrative for me. Since I value my time, family and friends, I’m not married to but rather enjoy my career. During the summer, I'll take my daughters to the park almost daily; occasionally we'll even take a day off and go fishing or boating. Since my daughters spend the summer with me, we really cherish our time together. Yes, things are different now, but I really look forward to spending the summers with my daughters and giving them the open wallet treatment for their birthday parties and occasional shopping sprees. (And for me, nothing like the Ritz-Carlton to recharge my batteries when I take a vacation or visit my daughters).

My Idea of a Perfect First Date:
Dinner in a nice upscale restaurant. After dinner we would enjoy some entertainment (Live Jazz, R&B, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, or Comedy Show).

My Perception of an Ideal Relationship:
After a 13-year relationship ending in divorce, I'm not jaded by divorce. Fortunately, it's even clearer to me that the second time is a worthy ambition for me. And even if I don’t meet Ms. Right what an opportunity to still seek her. There's a redeeming value ahead, knowing no matter what comes my way, I have given and will continue to give my best. Likewise, as I seek the best for my life, I expect the same in my relationships. I'm not looking to jump into anything, but I firmly believe in a match made in heaven. A perfect relationship to me is one in which two people are joined by God for his ultimate purpose and glory.

What I've Learned from Past Relationships:
It's better to understand than to be understood. Laughter can save a relationship; lack of laughter can kill it. Having kids makes you a better person, but it will also complicate your marriage in ways impossible to understand from the outside. And finally, being-single isn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be...

If the chemistry is right, an evening where we won't want to say good-bye.
