I'm committed to the idea that it is still possible in this day and age to find a person whose entire being activates your senses, lifts your spirits, and increases your sense of wonderment, that such a person exists on earth, and maybe you could be her.

Perhaps you may be such a person for me, and we can share a bike ride, a hike in the Shenandoah's, a movie, a fun discussion about the political future, or who knows, maybe even something long term and meaningful. I'm looking for my forever girl, but believe in laying down a foundation of friendship through courtship (wink). I am ready to take a chance on a commitment if I meet the right woman.

I am hopeful and caring, patient and very funny. I want to meet a woman who is caring and connected, sweet and sensitive, and who respects me as much as I do her. I will enchant and entertain her, and we will have a fun time as we grow closer and see where this friendship could take us. I'm not about playing games, but I'm playful.

I would love to tell you more about myself, but what sort of things would you like to know? Ok, well let's start out with some general stuff. I've been in DC for 10 years. Originally from Los Angeles, California. I live in Dupont Circle now. I'm in the legal profession, but I've done other things, and currently have designs on a new business venture, a publishing company! I also love to write short stories, and hope to publish a collection someday.

Now more specific, personal stuff. People say I don't belong in the legal profession. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I think the two most appealing things about a woman are her easy laughter and her singing (no matter how bad, I love a woman's singing). I have a bit of the poet's sensibilities. I'm very artistic, extremely sensitive and read people and situations quite adroitly --your eyes say quite a lot.

I love history, and used to read a lot more of it. Recently I was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC and saw Wm. Turner's depiction of the battle of Waterloo (a very controversial rendering at the time; I can tell you why...) I also saw the Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto's exhibit, "Anthropodino," at the Park Ave. Armory. It was wild; I can send you photos.

How you're "doing" is not nearly as important as who you're "being." If you're "being" open, loving, caring, and authentic, email me, we may have a lot in common. (wink)

Any opportunity to just sit down face to face and get to know each other is the best kind of first date. From there, other further dating opportunities might include:
the annual folk festival on the mall, live outdoor music, the Kennedy Center, and the National Symphony Orchestra (the NSO). Meanwhile, I like hanging out at coffee shops, especially Tryst in Adams Morgan.
