I'm brand new to town. I just moved from Boston for a new job and suddenly realized I know zero people here. I don't have a problem with heading out and exploring and doing things on my own, but it's more fun when someone else is having fun with you.

I would consider myself thoughtful, independent, honest, witty, trustworthy, intelligent and genuine. I like being active whether it is going to the gym, hiking, playing golf or racquetball, or just being out and about. I enjoy being with friends but can have fun pretty much doing anything.

I have a great sense of humor. I think it is a cross between Will Ferrell in Taladega Nights and Billy Bob Thorton in Bad Santa. In other words, if you don't really know me, you will be like "Where did that come from.." I often sacrifice my ego for a joke to lighten the mood (I’m comfortable with who I am); I’m easy going and I tend to find relaxation in activities rather than traditional “guy” things; I don’t follow teams other than my home team nor do I have any idea what Vinny did on last weeks’ episode of Entourage.

I'm a picky eater but love to eat and try to venture out of my comfort zone. I hate washing dishes (who doesn't) but I love to cook so there is plenty of washing for me. I'm willing to try most things once or even give it that second chance.

I have great taste in movies, but questionable taste in music. There has been multiple occasions where I have been caught listening to music that isn't even in English. Maybe its because I have an excellent inner playlist. I love to sing but I have been told I am tone deaf...oh well. I have an extensive DVD collection. I can watch the same movies over and over. I'm now getting hooked on Blu-ray movies. I love movies. Every kind of movie. From snooty french new-wave cinema to schlock horror. I'll watch it all and have a good time doing it.

I love traveling. I have been to Japan, Germany, Hungary, Amsterdam, India, Switzerland and London. I really want to go to Maldives and a couple places in Africa

I hate the gym. But I go to the gym lol. I'm comfortable in feeling this way because I know I'm not alone. It's kind of funny to imagine an entire country full of gym-goers who all hate what they're doing. But there they are doing it. At the end of the day I realize that healthy lifestyle is the way to go.

Anyway, I don't really have an ideal match in mind. Throughout my life, the people I've liked the most have been people who liked me. Funny how that works out. But if I were to put down a few concrete characteristics, I would say loving to laugh would be right near the top. I have a hard time around people who don't see humor in things. Even when it seems inappropriate.

Someone who enjoys good conversation. Real give and take. Even an outright argument can be fun in its own way. I want someone to challenge me, not just to agree with me. Conversation really is a dying art, but I'm doing my best to keep it alive. Not looking for a super model but physical attraction is important.

To be more specific, I'm looking for an accomplice to shenanigans, someone who can keep up with me both physically and mentally, someone who laughs easily and often, someone who really loves movies, someone who has a good relationship with their family, someone who is comfortable going to a dive bar, a club or a play, someone with confidence, sarcasm, varying interests, someone who is more playful than they are serious. I want someone who is honest with a big heart. someone that has compassion for less fortunate people.??Ideally, this person would be able to travel with short notice - I get a lot of random opportunities to travel on the company's dime and like the idea of bringing somebody along, though I realize finding someone with that kind of flexible schedule is next to impossible.
