I won't say I am looking for my other half or my soulmate because I don't know or even believe that there is only one person out there for each person. I am simply looking for someone that I will enjoy spending time with and enjoy talking to. Basically, mutual enjoyment of each other's company is what I am seeking.

I am always looking for interesting and intelligent friends.

I am honest to a fault (sometimes being too obnoxious or blunt). I always would rather know the truth -no matter how painful- than any pleasant lie. I am very socially liberal and have difficulty being around intolerance of any kind. Live and let live, that is my philosophy. I am able to laugh at myself and at life and can be very sarcastic.

I have an overwhelming desire to travel and make it a point to get to know as many different types of people as I can. I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. I believe we can always learn something from each other. I also believe that once we are no longer willing to learn and grow, we are no longer living any real life. I would rather feel pain and anguish than feel deadened and apathetic to the world. Passion is so important. As long as people are passionate about SOMETHING, then they are living. I am most afraid of stagnation, becoming stuck or staying the same.

So far, I have seven tattoos and plan to get more. Also, currently my hair is short and is pink and purple but will probably change again soon. I see my body as just another way to express myself artistically.

I sold my car four months ago. I don't plan on buying another one any time soon and really enjoy taking public transportation and walking places. After driving in Honolulu for four years, I am not sure I ever want to drive again... I love cities - the noise, the activity, the insanity, the richness, the constant life - given the choice, I will always choose to live in a high-rise building. The higher, the better :)

I am looking for someone who is different; a free thinker who is not religious; someone who is independent, odd, intelligent, nerdy/dorky/geeky and a decent conversationalist; an honest, affectionate person with good hygiene, who is articulate, passionate (about anything), and is creative or musical. I have always had an obsession with running. Eventually, I will run an ultra-marathon. If you are a runner (short races, marathoner or ultra-marathoner), I will gladly support you in all your races and training. I like to be around people who bother to ask questions in life, even the big ones such as "why are we here?" or "what is the point of life?". I would love to meet someone who wants to travel with me as I have always wanted to see the world, especially Europe and Australlia.

It does not matter what I do on a first date. The most important thing is mentally connecting with a person. When we have a lot to talk about and we are genuinely interested and excited about what we are talking about, then it is a good first date.
