I am a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer who designs the imaging (camera)
for weather satellites. I also teach one engineering course per semester at IPFW.
Though you might think “nerdy” when you hear “Engineer”, I have a broad range of interests, especially in the arts and architecture.
My favorite hobby is restoration architecture, and am well on the way to restoring my 1886 brick farmhouse. I also like to build large stained glass windows.
I have a small (1000 tree) orchard that started as a hobby, but then grew out of control into a small side business. I always grow an extra 100+ bushels for the Fort Wayne Community Harvest Food Bank, and think it is important to give back to society however each of us can.
A good match would include someone who would share my interest in art,movies,music concerts,travel,museums, old house architecture, and small scale farming. I prefer outgoing women who share my good sense of humor, upfront about what they are feeling, and what they want from the relationship. I am a huge Seinfeld fan, and also like the edgy humor of Dave Chappelle. If you are often moody, immature, not able to connect emotionally, or plan on transforming me into someone else, our relationship will never work. What I want is a best friend and possible future lover,not a housekeeper or personal servant. I can cook quite well, and always (well almost always) have a healthy diet. I am consistently polite and always treat everyone with respect. I always try to resolve differences with an adult discussion. I do not mope, withdraw, or engage in any immature actions. I am very financially secure, and have never been a control freak about money (or anything else).
My favorite music is big band swing, electric blues,rock and roll, and selected classical. I have also developed a strange liking for opera, but only for the famous parts. I do attend the Philharmonic on a regular basis, and enjoy certain radio shows on PBS. Sorry – but I just can’t stand country music, and I don’t know how to dance.
Though unusual for a male, I have zero interest in watching / following any sport, so at least you will never be a football widow!

I am the oldest of six (4 sisters, 1 brother) from a very warm Catholic family. All my siblings live in the Fort Wayne area, and we get together quite often. I have four well adjusted children, all in their twenties. Pets include three parrots, three dogs, and some outside only farm cats.

The ideal first date will give us a chance to talk, and I am definitely not shy
