I'm here looking for casual, friendly dates and outdoor activity partners. I've had several long term relationships, and while I'm ready to find the final one, I am not going to rush it... I'm content to keep it light for awhile and see what develops.

I love traveling and exploring new places (from wilderness trails to small "ethnic" restaurants.) I'm an independent person and value my alone time and time with my friends. I've traveled to several countries by myself. Next on my list to do with a partner are backpacking the lost coast, the Hoh rain forest, and the Na Pali Coast trail. New Zealand and South America are also high on the list, whether alone or with someone...

My friends describe me as intelligent and genuine. I'm career-oriented, but I don't take myself too seriously. You'll find no drama or BS here. I am financially responsible and find joy in simple things, and seek the same in a partner. I enjoy being around smart, kind, positive people with open minds and a sense of adventure. I'm not talking necessarily about skydiving but just a sense of fun about everyday life. I'm no athlete, but I am active (outdoors if possible).

I listen to lots of different types of music from bluegrass to techno to opera to jazz. And since I rarely watch TV, there's almost always music playing in my home.

For a first date, I'd probably want to meet for a cup of tea or a walk in the park. On a later date, we could go find some great hole in the wall restaurant, or go on a long bike ride or hike. Kayaking maybe? I'd like to be introduced to some great new activity I haven't tried or band I haven't heard...
