I’m not in a big hurry to be in a committed relationship, but I am ready to find someone special, and see where it takes us.

Well here goes. I have worked for the federal government for 26 years, lived in North Dakota, Utah, England, Arizona, California and moved to Virginia 4 years ago. I take care of a home inside and out, while raising two children; sometimes it gets very difficult, and allows me little time for “fun”. But I love them dearly and they are the greatest gift God has given me. I enjoy the simple things in life; a great cup of coffee as I watch the sunrise, a glass of wine as it sets. I love the outdoors, and love sitting by the pool, beach, or whereever the sun is. I like all kinds of music, but couldn’t tell you who sings any of it. Like all movies, except science fiction. Enjoy watching, house, 24, and of course American Idol. I like to play badminton over the volleyball net, and I’m a genius at making up children’s games, with my rules. I love to make snow angels and no one makes a better snowman than me. I love the thought of a romantic get away to "anywhere", as long as it's with the man I love. I'm the touchy feely sort, and not afraid to show affection. Throw me the football, and tackle me even if I don’t catch the ball. I can be awfully stubborn, and will go after what I want….may not always get it, but it won’t be from a lack of trying. I don’t workout regularly, but I work out some, and am fortunate enough to have a metabolism that will allow me to stay slim without too much effort, but there is always that challenge of staying “firm”, which seems to get harder as each year passes, and there’s even a few areas exercise just can’t help…but such is life. I like seafood, Italian, Chinese, a good hamburger, steak (well-done) really not to picky when it comes to food, especially if someone else cooks it! I’m as comfortable in tennis shoes, hair up, no makeup, as I am all done up, in heels, and a long gown. If you’re looking for miss perfect, it’s not me. I mess up at times and allow stress, and I guess just simply my personality to make me fire back a bit too quick at times, but I can say “I’m sorry” just as fast as I fired, and making up is always fun…..Just don't lie to me, honesty is my game, and dishonesty will make you disappear at a snap of a finger. I’ve learned that no one is perfect; many think they are, but they just haven’t sat back long enough to see themselves through the eyes of others.

I love a confident, strong, fit, honest, romantic, sexy, and of course, handsome man. (Okay, I’ll take three of those) I’ve become a Cowboys, Yankees, and Vols fan through affiliation. I know the rules of the games, but couldn’t tell you a players name (well maybe a few). I can handle when my partner loves his sports, actually I really like it, I can sit and watch with him all day long…as long as a small amount of affection comes my way during commercial breaks. My partner can select the wine, and make the menu choices…but when we dance, I lead.

Reading people’s profiles I realize I’ve missed out on a lot in life by not taking the time to do things. I’m hoping to change that and start a new beginning.
