I aspire to be the best person I can be, every day, in whatever I set my hand to for that time, whether I'm working, talking to a client or customer, or watching TV with a friend.

It can be difficult to attempt to describe ones self objectively. I have done a fair amount of traveling, I've delivered a real human baby (somebody else's baby, not mine), gone through most of life's common bumps - marriage, divorce, children, death. (Well, my Father's death... not my own, though I've come close a couple of times.) I've learned that life is infrequently as scary as it seems it is going to be, and that courage is doing what you have to do even when you shake with fear.

I listen to a wide variety of music; to whatever makes me happy at the moment, and because I spend most of my day dealing with strangers, frequently I enjoy the silence I can have when I'm on my own time. I like to read and I also do some classically 'girly' things like knit and bake. Additionally, I write, but primarily for my own enjoyment - not necessarily for others to read.

I'd like to 'do' appetizers and drinks, or something along those lines - something that's at least a little dressy. If you enjoy the Art Institute, I'd recommend a lunch there with time spent in the exhibits afterward. I'm also a fan of the Museum of Science and Industry and the Field Museum. Dinner and possibly a movie is the standard date, and for good reason: known quantities help a person's nerves when they are worried about the UN-known quantities! I hate horror flicks, though, so I won't go there.
