Instead of concocting an entirely fictional profile to make myself sound like the perfect man, I’ll be absolutely honest with you. It is Sunday afternoon and I am hung-over and lying in bed. I am not out hand-gliding, rock-climbing, cycling, hiking or scuba-diving – activities undertaken once whilst on holiday do not count as hobbies! My Sundays consist mainly of having great brunches, watching movies, drinking good coffee (with no alcohol in it), and wondering why I have an extortionate monthly gym membership that I barely seem to use… As for my life other than on my clearly busy Sundays, I am an avid traveller – I grew up in both the UK and the US, and have lived, studied and worked in both countries. I recently moved back to the Bay Area from London with my firm, having spent the past three years working throughout Europe. I love being in cities that actually have a mix of cultural outlets – it’s all about diversity… So I’ve never had a problem meeting people – but meeting people with whom I have a true mix of intellectual and physical chemistry, is rare.… I'm not looking for someone who’s “stunning and vaguely amusing” – of course being physically attractive and feminine is alluring – but what ultimately makes me weak at the knees is a girl who is assertive, global (in thought if not in experience), radiates positivity, and can captivate my thoughts with her demeanour (if not her charm)…
