I hate writing these things. *sigh*

I used to make my living as a writer, but I got disenchanted. Now, I write for fun and work as an employment counselor for adults with developmental disabilities. I'm actively involved as an actor, director, and writer in the local film and theatre scene. I have a pretty wicked sense of humor, love to laugh, and enjoy making others laugh as well. I enjoy going out with friends and having a good time, but sitting at home and watching a movie is all right by me, too. I still write, but not relying on it as my only source of income makes it more fun. Usually, I write comedy, but that's mostly because I think you can find comedy in anything -- provided nobody got too seriously hurt.

I enjoy outdoorsy stuff, like walking and hiking and camping. I enjoy indoorsy stuff, like board games and movies on demand. I would always rather drive on long trips if the music and conversation are good. I have an intense love for all things creative and spend a lot of free time and energy on absorbing as much as I can. Live music is a favorite way to spend some time. My taste in music is eclectic: if I alphabetized all of my CDs, I'd have Pantera, Pearl Jam, Public Enemy, Prince, and Brad Paisley all on the same shelf. My bookshelves are just as diverse.

I believe that you can learn something from every experience, even if all you learn is that you never want to do that again. I also believe that the one thing that makes us all the same is our deep and latent desire to be different from everybody else. I have learned over time that I have little tolerance for stupidity and that I absolutely cannot keep from getting too excited when something makes me smile.

I am divorced, but it was more than ten years ago. Got married young and divorced pretty quickly. It was long enough ago not to matter but recent enough to be dishonest if I didn't post it. Maybe over time I can share that story. It's an amusing story (nobody got hurt).
