In my free time, I love to read, watch good movies, listen to good music and think about the lyrics, watch tv (some good, some ultra-trashy), roam around Barnes and Noble and Whole Foods, work out, try to write the next great American Novel, try to find new chill bars/restaurants in Tampa!

I graduated college in May 2009. I really would like to write more seriously one day, or eventually be more involved in the arts community. I'm always looking to see new plays, movies, exhibits, local bands. I just want to be a good friend, have life experiences, and do some good in the world.

I'm full of contradictions....If I wasn't living in Florida, I'd be living in Boston. I collect tea and teapots but I definitely prefer coffee. I love meeting new people, but just as much, I like having time to myself to think. I love going out to eat but know I should at least try to start cooking. I'm idealistic but constantly waiting for reality to slap me in the face. I love to sleep but feel lazy if i sleep in. I can be either a morning person or a night owl, but not both in one day, please!

In general, I like rock music...punk rock, folk rock, classic rock...I can live with anything that has some rock influence. I do like songs from all kinds of genres too, but if I had to pick my favorite type of music, it'd definitely be rock. I love the history behind it. Some of my favorite bands: The Wallflowers, Green Day, Blink 182, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkle, Billy Joel, Elton John, U2, 80s, OAR, musicals, Queen, the Beatles, Barleyjuice, Bon Jovi.

Reading is a definite passion, and some of my favorite books are The Little Prince, Kurt Vonnegut (esp. Cat's Cradle), Light in August, Invisible Man, A Tale of Two Cities, A Clockwork Orange, Lamb.

...and so are movies! Iron Man, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Almost Famous, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Wonder Boys, V for Vendetta, On the Waterfront, From Here to Eternity, Sweeney Todd, Platoon, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Moulin Rouge, Love Actually, Velvet Goldmine, Marie Antoinette, Donnie Darko, Some Like it Hot, The Natural, Disney movies.

I haven't been on a good first date in a while. I am up for pretty much anything fun. There definitely has to be time to talk and get to know each other, so I'm not really down with the whole movie-as-a-first-date thing. I think doing something a little different, like going bowling, or maybe seeing a musician at a coffee shop or dive bar would be fun. Oh, and I'm a pretty messy eater...so be prepared for that if we go somewhere to eat!
