Ooookay. I have good hygiene. I use my turn signal when driving. I take Kurt Vonnegut's advice when he says: "Use sunscreen! Don't smoke cigarettes," and also when he says, "Never use semicolons. They are transvestite hermaphrodites representing absolutely nothing. All they do is show you've been to college." Kurt knew everything. I have an all right car. I have one friend. I like to read, but writing and I have an on-again-off-again relationship. We're working through it.

I'm in school right now. I'm going for a Masters in English and a major in marketing. The ultimate goal is to be a literary agent, which is an English nerd's fantasy. It seems like I'm going to be in school fooooreeeeveeerrrr, but probably that's not necessarily true. It just feels like it.

I like Radiohead a lot. I like indie bands, but I'm not a music snob. Every once in a while I have to have a day full of Led Zeppelin and the Doors and Janis Joplin and so on. You know you do, too. These things must happen.

I like movies, specifically Wes Anderson movies and the Coen brothers' movies. I do not, however, like watching movies with other people. Why would I get together with my favorite person/people and do the one activity which encourages a total _lack_ of interaction? That's pointless. Obviously I'm a huge fan of literature. There are too many books and authors to list, so just ask me about it if you think it matters. ...Okay, I'll list three authors: Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk, and Donald Barthelme

I have a 9-month-old son. His only fault is that he may be a little _too_ awesome. He can't help it. He just started here.

So all of that stuff is nice to know, but it's not necessarily a reflection of my character, so here's a bit on that part: I am unique. I'm logical and rational, and in fact it takes a fairly apocalyptic event to get an emotional response out of me. Despite that, I'm a huge fan of the arts, any kind of art. I spend some time every day searching for new music, movies, literature, photography, whatever's out there. I want to reap the benefits of other peoples' creativity. I love to debate, but not to argue. I think it should be a possibility to discuss a topic without getting upset, regardless of how extremely opposite both parties may feel about the subject. When I'm not nervous, I can be ridiculously witty. I don't have a slapstick, "badum PSSSH!" kind of humor. It takes a little thought to get my humor sometimes, but if you get it, I can be kind of hilarious sometimes.

Also: my hair is not nearly as long as it was when I took that picture, the one that you see up there at the top of the page. Just FYI.

I'm not picky. The first date could be dinner, or just hanging out somewhere, or driving aimlessly, or anything. The only thing it should _not_ be is a movie, for reasons stated in the above Description.
