I am a Christian and only interested in ladies who are the same. I am just a Christian, but the church I attend is a Baptist affiliate.

I enjoy learning, running, traveling, exploring, experiencing other cultures, adventure, and the abundant life. I started a business on the side and am learning new things every day. It is like a baby, so it teaches me much more than it produces at the moment.

I would like to earn a PhD sometime in the future, but that's on hold for now. I am socially and fiscally conservative and enjoy people of like minds. While not all my friends are of that same ilk, I wouldn't do well in a long-term relationship with someone who is liberal. In some areas, I am more liberal than "liberals," as I have libertarian leanings. If you know what that means, then we might get along very well.

I participate in short-term missions trips around the world and am involved in my church. I like to travel whether it be for pleasure, to run races, for missions trips, school, conferences, or work. I learn from other cultures.

As for music, I like country, classical, Celtic, 80's, techno, trance, music from other countries, and whatever genre is Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr.'s music. I do not care for hard rock or rap. I am debt free and seeking the same (or at least striving in that direction). If you are a shop-a-holic, I'm not the guy for you. I discontinued my TV connection earlier this year, but when I had cable I watched Discovery, TLC, NatGeo, The History Channel, History Int'l, and the Military Channel. I listen to radio - talk (Christian and secular - Levine, Beck, Prager, Limbaugh, Schnitt, etc.), country, and Delilah.

I do not go to bars or clubs (I grew out of my twenties ;) and am only interested in long-term relationships.

Odd that I read several people who mistakenly or intentionally entered a younger age than they are. I am 45 years old, weigh 175, am 6'1" and have my hair, teeth, and eyes. :) I look like my pictures and really do run marathons. I like hearing the truth even if unpleasant, and I believe in telling the truth. I don't like typing "I" so often. ;)

First date? It depends. What time of day? What season? What does she like? How comfortable are we both with each other to this point? So many variables. I know what the desired outcome is - to have an enjoyable time getting to know each other better and relishing the journey of discovery. Oh, laughter is good too. The world is full of enough tension, the last thing any of us need on a date is more tension. God bless you in your search.
