I'm basically your average 20-something boy. I recently moved back to the Chicago suburbs after being away for the last 6 years. As a result, most of my friends live about 2.5 hours away, so I'm looking to meet new people.

I was a bartender for the last 3 years, which was a blast. The whole restaurant scene gets old after a while, but I'd definitely love to bartend again. Now, though, I am working part-time as a Personal Trainer. It's fairly hit-and-miss, so I'm currently trying to find a more stable job.

I love working out, as you might have guessed by me being a Personal Trainer, but I'm not some crazy meat head or anything. I go out drinking, and I eat plenty of bad food. Given the option to do a few Jagerbombs with my friends or to go to the gym, I'd definitely rather do the former. Friends are just a lot more important to me.

I'm a bit of a scifi nerd, but you probably wouldn't know it to look at me. I've become a lot more well-rounded in terms of movies and TV shows. My friends were movie snobs, so they introduced me to a lot of new things.

As for music, I have to admit I am into punk rock: Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, and Motion City Soundtrack are probably my top 3. However, I also enjoy a wide range of other music (basically anything but rap and country...though I have to say I find Taylor Swift's music annoyingly catchy).

I'm just looking for someone easy-going and fun, someone who doesn't take life too seriously.

I've never really been one to go on dates, but I think the best way to get to know someone would be to plan an activity. Movies are fine, but you don't get to talk. Dinner is good, too, but what happens if you run out of things to say? If you plan a real activity (bowling, mini-golf, or even putting a puzzle together), you can always at least be talking about what you're doing. It gives you something to bond over. Sometimes conversations with strangers can be awkward, and an activity would help give you focus.
