Life can be a crazy swirling, whirling ride at times, with lots of highs, lows and middles ... it's much better to have someone next to you through it. On here in hopes of finding that person. I have loads of interests and hobbies (sailing, horseback riding, tennis, running, theater, music, dining, travel), some of which it would be nice to share, but not necessary -- it's more important to me to have someone with whom I enjoy spending time -- the nights ordering in and watching movies on the sofa, hanging out on nice weekend afternoons drinking coffee or Blood Mary's outside at a cafe, talking/laughing with about our day and the good and bad, silly and frustrating bits. Feeling that bond of unquestionable attraction, love, laughter and sharing our lives (and fun, did I mention fun?!) throughout it all. We have to feel right together, like we are a "we" and are together (not against one another) and get each other, what I call "feeling like home" like we were never true strangers even as we get to know each other over time. And, although I am serious about certain things, my personality is to laugh and have witty (or silly) chatty conversations (don't need/want to be with someone to have in-depth, "intellectual" topical conversations all the time ... intelligence is important, but ...).

Have dated quite a bit and not in the market for an intentionally endless stream of first dates, but obviously you have to go on lots of first dates to ever meet someone and get to the point when you stop counting what number date you're on together -- when they stop being dates and are just your normal life. Don't need to jump into things too fast (skip levels and miss out on stages), but also not seeking someone whose idea of dating is seeing each other once every couple of weeks -- have to spend time together in different scenarios to get to know each other and see if things might work out for "the long run" ... that being the ultimate goal -- to find someone I adore, who adores me, and we'd rather be together than apart (although I am used to a certain amount of alone/activity time and believe that's important for everyone to some degree). And all that comes with it (as in, yeah, marriage, kids, fun trips all over the place, joint friends and a joint life -- ha!) -- like to be clear from the start! And the start can be as easy as meeting for a drink ...
