I was born in Lima, Peru and lived there until the age of ten when my family left Peru. I spent the next eight years living in various countries throughout Latin America. I came to the US in 1993 to attend college and graduated in 1997 with a degree in International Studies and Political Science and continued with graduate education. After obtaining my Master’s Degree in International Affairs in 1999, I entered the corporate world. I devoted the next nine years of my professional life to the world of insurance. During this time I traveled extensively throughout Latin America and spent time in several European countries. This allowed me to remain in contact with different cultures and perfect my language skills. As the years went by, and my two children were born, this new stage of my life as a young mother provided the opening to reassess my career goals and objectives for the future. With the financial downturn in late 2008, I like millions of other Americans lost my job in October. I came to the realization that while focusing only on my corporate career, I had lost my passion for social justice and human rights. I had lost sight of my desire to teach and develop a career in education. I decided to go back to school for a second Master's in education and plan on teaching Spanish at the high school level in the city. However, my ultimate goal is to obtain my PhD and become a college professor. I love this country, I am a citizen, but my roots are still Latin. I love to dance, I know how to have fun, love city life, and culture. Like many of you, I am new to a dating website, and I would like to take things slow and become friends first. I am funny, honest, open, and up for trying new things. My kids are my priority and focus and they come before my personal life and social live, yet, I have the time to start dating and I am ready. I am a one man kind of gal, monogamy is very important to me, not looking for games or one night stands.
