Well first off, I love to laugh and I love to make other people laugh even more. I truly believe that laughter is medicine for the soul. Therefore, I tend to be a bit of a goofball. I think I'm pretty witty..but of course my opinioned may be biased.

I'm a nice guy and believe it or not, honest. Unlike most guys, I'm much more interested in quality than quantity when it comes to girls. I'd rather be dating 1 great girl than sleeping with 10 meaningless hotties.

I was born and raised (my childhood) in the South. For those of you who don't know, that means I know how to treat people. I was raised to be kind to people, to say please and thank you, to pretend you like someone's food even if you don't and hold the door for people. Common courtesy and basic manners goes a long way.

I'm looking for a girl who is not into playing games, who isn't insecure with her body or appearance (more than normal anyway), and who can hold an intelligent conversation. Being funny/witty is also a huge plus in my book. If you can make me laugh, you're in like flin.

I am really not interested in girls that are conceited and hung up on themselves. If you're not sure if this is you, here's an easy test. If your my space, facebook and/or camera is primarily full of pictures of you by yourself from different angles and making different faces...then you probably love yourself a little too much for my tastes.

I tend to say how I'm feeling without holding back, though my brain/mouth filter has improved marginally as I've gotten older. Some people love this about me...others not so much. In my opinion, it's better that people know how you feel than try and guess.

I love to travel. Although I haven't done nearly as much of it as I'd like, I have many places in mind that I will visit some day. I have an excellent sense of direction and I take that as a sign that I was meant to travel the world.

I am adventurous and will try just about anything once. You only live once and when I have wrinkles, wear paisley sweaters and forget things, I want to feel like I truly lived my life. As William Wallace said, "Every man dies. Not every man truly lives."

Well, if we're talking about a good first date from this website, I'd say it would be one that allows us to chat and get to know each other and is also relatively brief. That way if either of us is not feeling it, we don't have to torture ourselves through an entire evening. :-) Pictures and descriptions are nice and everything, but from my experiences with online dating, what you expect isn't always what shows up. If the first date goes well, I have plenty of ideas for future dates.
