I have always put others first. My time was spent being first a wife, a mother, and a homemaker. My children are grown with children of their own. Nothing brings me greater pleasure than being a part of the changes that happen every day in our lives. I enjoy working as a volunteer. Like many women my age I am heavier than I would like to be but working on it. I started writing poetry several years ago and although I really enjoy putting my feelings to words I do not feel like a poet. A poet can write on anything, I on the other hand write mostly from life experiences. I learned a long time ago that not everything that we think is important, is as important as some of the things we put off until tomorrow.

favorite things: Studies: Bible. Books: I enjoy reading almost anything. Music: Original Motion Picture Soundtracks, Classical, Country & Western, Instrumental, Jazz, & Blues. TV: Watch mostly DVD's. Rainy days: Reading, computer, complete calmness.

last read: Have read nearly all of Ted Dekker’s and Frank Peretti’s books. My reading interests are wide and varied including books by Rick Warren, Tim LaHaye, James Rollins, Iris Johansen, and John Grisham to name just a few authors.

favorite places: I would like to travel within this great country of ours, visit the Epcot Center at Disney World, go to museums and other places of interest.

My ideal person: Would be someone that still wants to experience the beauty around him, a walk through a beautiful place that you have never been before, maybe a picnic? Someone that just might like to go fishing and would not think twice about baiting the hook and removing the fish from my fishing line. Oh yes, quiet evenings, talking, watching a great movie, holding hands, time well spent together. My ideal person is a man of good character, a believer in God, he would be someone that is tired of being alone and understands the meaning when someone says they feel alone even in a room full of people. He is a loving person within his own family and able to welcome my family as they are a major part of my life.
