Hello, My name is Jim.

It is getting that time of year where the malls will be full of people scurrying about getting gifts for those who are within our circle of love and friendship. I, like a lot of people on POF would like to have a special someone next to them instead of walking the mall by myself and seeing so many hands that are held, so many smiles shared and so many happy times with friends and family. I am by myself and it is never easy this time of year. But you count your blessings that you are well and that there is time ahead to create memories.

I am a very open and secure, passionate and romantic man who cherishes every opportunity to see eyes light up with a surprise, a smile that brightens and warms a heart and a to experience a kiss that takes your breath away.

I am blessed in my life to have creativity as a gift. I have been a jazz drummer for big bands and small groups for over 40 years. I have loved to be out in nature and to photograph incredible visual gifts and be able to share those images with people through my 40 years of photography. I work as a freelance Advertising and Graphic Designer for newspapers and magazines. I am working hard at bringing out my own magazine next year. All these things to share and yet the space beside is empty.

I love to look my best and dress up when the opportunity arises and since I have been a performing musician for so many years, I have a tux and do wear it for those really special events. If there was a special lady in my life well then that means special events.

I was raised by my Mom when my dad left us at when I was 3 days old, so I was given an understanding of what women want to have in a relationship. My Mom was my best friend and taught me so many things. She once said, "The road to a women's heart is never traveled at the speed of the man but at the speed limit set by the woman." One last Momism' "A heart is given to a man to protect and it is his responsibility to honor it with the stability of his actions and the truth of his words." So you can see she meant a great deal to me and I believe I "get it".

I have had the best in a relationship and marriage and want to feel that safe and warm connection once again. It is what I think about each day. For me, I have been my most successful, my most creative, my most passionate, and my happiest when I have been in love. I do not need to find my heart with the presence of another but want my heart to breath deeply and share it's potential.

I am not a multi-tasker with dating women, I have trouble multi-tasking a shopping list. Dating and seeing more than one woman at a time could be fatal for me, so why take the chance and call Susie and say "Hi Gwendolyn". You get my drift. I am an "artsy -fartsy romantic guy" who values one thing at a time and that is devotion to one lady.

I like to do all the usual laundry list of things that we ALL like to do. So to list them is kind of silly since there is no need to explain why we like fun things. I will tell you one thing however, you will not find me and that special lady walking on the beach in the moonlight. It will be way to crowded as everyone on Match, Personals and SinglesnNet is already there and I hate crowds.
