The first step is admitting you have a problem. I am a chocoholic. I don't deny it and I'm not ashamed of it. I'm serious here... I have, on more than one occassion, eaten an entire McCain deep and delicious cake by myself. To balance things out I try to stay active - sometimes going to the gym, sometimes cycling/walking instead of driving and rarely turning down an offer to _______ (fill the blank - rollerblade, golf, play softball, etc.). I ran my first half marathon last year and am happy to say that I finished in under 2 hours. Didn't do it because I'm a fan of running so much as completing a full marathon is on my list of things to do and a half marathon seems like a good place to start.
My passion is traveling and I wish I could do more of it. My preference leans towards hostels and adventure over resorts and museums (although I've been known to visit both). Some of my destinations include Australia (spent ten months there in my twenties), New Zealend, Fiji, England, Kenya/Tanzania and of course various cities in Canada and the USA. I recently (March '08) returned from six months of traveling through South America. Go to http://www.travelpod.com/members/beyondwpg to check out some of what I did.
I'm looking for someone who shares some of my interests and has some of her own. You should be single, a non-smoker and not have any children. A woman who's independent, confident and has a sarcastic sense of humor would be ideal. A nice smile and a cute butt wouldn't hurt either

Oh, and please have a picture posted.
A coffee shop or lounge is a classic first date option and for good reason. It allows people to get to know each other in a time limited setting. If things aren't what one had hoped, you can wrap things up once you finish your drink or if things are going well, you can always linger or continue the evening somewhere else.
Of course ice cream at the BDI or Sargent Sundae, a walk along the river or through the Exchange or playing frisbee or skating in a park can offer the same sort of setting.
