About Me
As my headline reads, I feel a good balance in life is key...mix of interests, balance between work and play, serious and fun, fancy and casual, smart and silly.
I am an accountant, but I do not do taxes, so please don't ask! I got my accounting degree from the University of Kentucky (go Cats!)and this career choice has surprisingly given me many opportunities for travel. I've lived in Raleigh, NC and Cincinnati, OH before heading back to Chicago. I've traveled to several cities in the US (some faves being Portland and Hermosa Beach) as well as some international cities. One of my favorite trips was to Madrid. I think that had a lot to do with the fact that I had a local friend and therefore got to see the city as the locals do. Regardless, traveling with a pal beats traveling solo. I'd like to find someone who's up for some trips.
In addition to cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats and Chicago White Sox, I play in various sports leagues. I can play just about anything, but mostly for fun since I'm not awesome at any single one, so I'm not super competitive. I prefer spending time with people who are also not overly competitive, in any regard.
I enjoy listening mostly to alternative/indie rock and dissimilarly anything with a good dance beat. I am a great dancer usually demonstrating my skills on ladies night out. I would be down for lessons - salsa, Latin or other partner dancing...with the right partner, of course.

First Date
I think bowling would be a good first date. First of all, I'm a pretty decent bowler and I could find out for real just how competitive you are! More importantly, I think it would give us a good opportunity to chat and also a break from chatting every few minutes. Regardless of where the date takes place, I don't care much for 20 questions, so I would hope we could just talk, find similar interests and learn about each other casually and naturally. I'm up for other suggestions, though - what do you think??
