If you can make me laugh, you'll catch my interest. If you can make me make YOU laugh, you'll capture my heart. I have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor and love to spar back and forth using it, but I need to feel that spark to do so.

I have two young children (ages 5 and 8) and two dogs who keep me very busy. When I have free time, I enjoy running road races (which I just started up again after a VERY long hiatus) - I'm not ever in danger of winning, I just like the challenge of competition. I love to travel, but am a homebody at heart. I'm mostly a jeans and T-shirt kind of woman, though I do like special occasions too (I promise to upgrade from jeans/T-shirt for that). I'm a born and bred Patriots and Red Sox fan, and would love to share that with someone who can stand me jumping up and down at critical moments. If you can help me figure out the difference between 3-4 and 4-3 that would be a bonus!

I'm a bit of a gadget geek, and my wants far exceed my budget, so some things are still on the wish list. I love good food, good wine and good music - all of which are open to interpretation! I enjoy cooking for someone who appreciates food, but hate cleaning up. I am an absolute mush ball for ice cream - chocolate and peanut butter please!

In a man I value intelligence, humor, playfulness and a willingness to be open. If you'd describe yourself as a bit of a geek, all the better!

I'm looking for friendship that catches fire, with a smolder early on. At this point in my life, and with my relatively limited free time, that is key. Looks are nice, but chemistry is mandatory - we'll know it if we have it! Some things I’ve learned: Flossing is important. Laughing is essential. Perfection is impossible. It’s as much about being the right partner as finding the right partner. Finally, you must expose yourself emotionally -- it's the only way to reap love's greatest rewards.

First date should include lots of opportunity for getting to know each other! Depending on the time of year and our shared interests some possibilities could be meeting for lunch, grabbing a drink and an appetizer, visiting a museum, a walk down Main Street (virtually any town will do!), or grabbing an ice cream cone. Actually, I'll take mine in a dish! There are plenty of minor league sports teams nearby - catching a game could be fun too....but not till next season!
