Instead of expounding on the list of things I love to do and traits that make me unique, I’d like to list the "10 Things I Dislike..."

1) Mind games (temptation is great but eventually I'd like to eat that carrot).

2) Lack of pride in ones appearance (I know it's the weekend, but did you really need to wear curlers and slippers to the movies?).

3) No sense of adventure or spontaneity (I draw the line at jumping out of planes and wrestling alligators...unless it's an emergency).

4) Absence of romance (Yes, sitting in our underwear in bed watching a classic movie on a rainy Sunday is also considered romantic.)

5) Immaturity (Unless we’re talking theme parks. "Last one on that huge scary roller coaster is buying the funnel cakes!")

6) Insensitivity (I’m all for being honest and upfront, but it wasn't necessary to throw your shoe at the waiter.)

7) High maintenance (Don’t get me wrong, I definitely love the "finer" things. Not every purchase needs to come with it’s own body guard.)

8) No concept of balance or moderation (And I'm not referring to your uncanny ability to maintain equilibrium while standing on one leg and balancing a beer stein on your head after downing 5 tequila shots.)

9) Outright stupidity (Wow… a drunk, half naked picture of you mooning a police officer at a kids birthday party on your Facebook page…Thought that through did ya?)

10) No communication (Online dating is hard enough. It's even harder when you only email one five word sentence at a time! It's okay to talk, I won't bite...I might nibble a little but, not bite.)

The perfect first date depends on embracing the experience and being in the moment. A show at a local jazz club and drinks can be just as enchanting as a meal at a renowned restaurant and a Broadway Musical, or just meeting at a local coffee house for dessert and conversation. It's what you make it.
