I'm a newbie as far as online services are concerned but have been convinced by a friend to give it a try so here it goes....

I love meeting new people, going new places, and have lived in multiple areas of the country (Texas to Alaska and various places in-between), and have had the opportunity of meeting wonderful people everywhere I've gone. I'm an Occupational Therapist by training and very family oriented by choice. I've got 2 children (18 and 26) and 3 year old grandtwins (ouch! Calling them that makes sound so old!LOL). They are FANTASTIC, and I'm very involved with them.

I like to travel and get the itch to go somewhere out of my immediate area every couple of months. Usually it's to visit a friend or family member but am open to going other places.

Relationships are very important to me. I don't consider myself a social butterfly and have only a few close friendships. I don't go for superficial relationships as far as my personal life is concerned. Those are better left at the office etc..

I've been divorced for 8 years and until recently, not been interested in starting anything new. At this point I'd like to get to know someone and am not desperately seeking anyone but am open to possibilities. Dating is completely foreign to me so cut this gal a break...please?

I love to laugh and enjoy lots of more intimate type activities vs large group social gatherings. I much prefer a small group of friends getting together for****ails than the bar scene.

I've not had time for many hobbies but do enjoy making things with my hands. I'm not an artist but have found I've liked most creating-type activities I've tried. I love the water and fishing is one of my favorite summertime activities. I used to like to camp but haven't done so for quite some time.

I like most music and have been told I have a good voice (although I'm a bit shy about singing in front of people). I don't care for way heavy metal, rap or opera but do like other genres at varying levels.

I highly value my family, and friends. I believe in being honest (no head games thank you!), respectful of others, kind to living things, and showing love to mankind.

I'm looking forward to meeting someone through this venue and hope you'll take the time to get to know me.

I'd like to get to know someone over coffee in a little shop somewhere or maybe over a drink at a quiet bar if the weather is cold, or at a picnic table at a park or beach if the weather permits. Any place we could go and take the time to get to know more about each other with minimal distractions. Somewhere where we could be comfortable and actually hear what the other has to say!
