I grew up just outside of Toronto, in Pickering, and currently live in Ajax (don't let that turn you off...it's not that far from the city and I have a car). However, I work downtown, so I can experience the best of both worlds.

I work in a Museum, which I love. History has always been a passion of mine and I'm privileged to help preserve it.

When I'm not working, my favourite activity is to curl up with a book. I love everything about books; their texture, their smell, and most of all the adventure and knowledge they can provide you with.

I'm also a huge fan of taking walks and hiking. In the woods, on the beach, around the neighbourhood; it's a great way to connect with your partner and enjoy the outdoors!

I have never been one for the clubs, but enjoy a healthy balance of puttering at home (painting, gardening etc.) and spending time with friends and family or enjoying the many things the city has to offer. I enjoy good food, wine and happily I also enjoy working out, which balances out the good food :). I love winter because it means I can break out of my basement (where my elliptical trainer lives) and do some cross-country skiing!

In the past year I've done a lot of travelling: Las Vegas, Netherlands, France and Wisconsin (haha, I know, not a glamorous place but it was for work). I hope to keep that up in the future. I head to Newfoundland pretty much every year where my family has a 'summer' home. I'm from there originally and it's my favourite place on earth.

As for why I'm on here, I'm looking for THE guy. He'll help make my dreams come true and I'll help with his. Goals and ambitions come in many forms and none are any less valuable than another. I'm also a firm believer that you don't have to have everything in common with your partner. In fact, I think it's healthy to have interests outside of your relationships. But what IS important is to have similar core values, morals and beliefs, and I think those are very hard to quantify in a paragraph.

He's not perfect (who is?) but he's perfect for me. My only specific requirement is that he be fairly tall (I'm pretty tall and like to wear heels) and a non-smoker.

Oh, and I should mention that I have a cat, so you should either like or tolerate them, and not be allergic.
