Confident, witty, honest, caring, intelligent, interesting and fun. I like to go to the theatre, movies, find new and interesting places to eat in DC/Alexandria and the surrounding area. I'm having a great time being me and I'd love to share it with the right person. I like most kinds of music with very few exceptions and I'm looking for a partner to go on adventures with, explore ourselves and our environment, learn and grow with, care for and be loved by.
I've been an actor of over 25 years, theatre, improv, some television, voice over, etc... and am thinking of directing. Acting has only been my day job a couple of times in my life, more like a hobby that pays. For the last two decades (man that just made me sound old!) I've been a Soldier. Yup, I'm in the Army. At least for a little while longer, I'm retiring next year (Woo Hoo!!) and getting ready to start my second career.
I've lived all over the world and have traveled a lot but it's good because I love to travel and have many places to yet to go and to go back to.
Passion is important to me, not just physical, but a passion for life, adventure, fun, even when serious events are transpiring a passion for the challenge. I sometimes dance in the kitchen. I like for my home to be filled with family and friends and I try to entertain as often as I can. I have been described as "intense" and "a kid", both apply at times. The "kid" part was because I still marvel at the world like a kid, I enjoy...everything! I'm quick with a smile and I'm not afraid to be wrong or to say I'm sorry.

What would I like in a woman? There are as many different types of people out there as there are people (grin) and I won't try to describe what I think I want because who knows who's out there reading this right now. I can talk about some of the standard things though. Honest, loyal, truthful, compassionate, loving, expressive, loves life, intelligent, and a bit of a dreamer is good too.
I'm not too jaded to trust but neither am I so naive to trust blindly. I'm protective without being smothering, loving without being parasitic, agreeable without being sycophantic, and I know that there is nothing better than my woman knowing that she is the only one for me.

It could be in the afternoon over coffee, getting to know each other; Dinner in Old town, a water taxi ride to the National Harbor and an art gallery, or Drinks at the PX(the speak easy, not the thing on post) and a walk downtown.
