Hi, my name's Akeem. I have pretty wide ranging interests, centered around sports. I love basketball, weightlifting, football, water-skiing in the summer, snow skiing in the winter. I live near the river valley and I also run a lot during the summer. I love being active, and I'll be doing some sort of sport almost every day, especially when its warm out!

I love to travel, and I am planning on taking at least one awesome trip next year, which is really exciting. I was in Cancun and Costa Rica this year, both were amazing! I'm thinking either Thailand or South America for my 2010 trip.

I have two university degrees, a B.Sc. in Computer Science, and a B.Ed. in Teaching High School Math and Physics. Both are from the University of Alberta. I love teaching, but I don't think that I can do it as a career. I work in the corporate learning department of a bank, my job is really varied, Which keeps things interesting. My actual title is Learning Consultant. But I work to live, not live to work; my career is just a means to an end for me. I do hope to get my masters some day, probable in educational technology.

Other than that, I enjoy spending time with my friends and just chilling or going out once in a while. I worked at a bar for a couple of years, so I have no need to go out every weekend, but its still fun sometimes! I'm really laid back, and I am looking for a girl who's the same. I generally have it together, I have a career, a house, and all that good stuff. I am not looking for drama, just a nice girl that I can spend some time getting to know.

To me, a first date is all about getting to know each other. The ideal date for me is going to get a coffee on a nice day, going for a walk through through the river valley, and just talking.
