Thanks for checking out my page I'm J....

I'm finishing up at VCU earning a degree in International Studies and I honestly havent decided how I'm going to apply it afterwards haha... Along with this degree I have learned Arabic for which I am a teaching assistant this year. Many of my friends tell me how easy I will have it to get a good job when I graduate but to be honest I refuse to use my language skills to allow one party to hurt another... no amount of money would convince me to translate a document for the govt for which they bomb an innocent group of people...

I have always been a free spirit concerned with doing thinks to help my fellow man and I have been lucky to travel to many places and learn from a number of cultures. I've always sort of followed the no plan is the best plan track in life and I began college when I felt it was the right time and when I knew what I wanted to learn. (I think too many people waste thousands of $$$ earning degrees they later hate.)

I enjoy music more than anything else in this world...
I play all sorts of instruments and have been in a few bands in my time.

When it comes to sports my favorite is Hockey... My family is Maritime Canadian in origin and I grew up playing and still find time to hit the ice here and there...

A close second to Hockey is the Rodeo... I love everything about the western style of living to the point where if someone were to play me enough to eat and sleep under a shelter I would perfectly happy to drive cattle for the rest of my life...

Okay, what makes me unique?
I have always lived life with a feeling that this world belongs to all of you out there and I'm just kind of here visiting. It is an interesting perspective to have and sometimes a frustrating one because as I watch the world move I see the good and the bad from an unbias stance. It's hard to watch people hate others based on culture when we are all really the same...

I love to learn new things and talk and debate new concepts. I seek out the material I need to learn what I want to know and I don't rely on other people simply telling me. There is a lot of that going on today and it is sad that if you dig a little deeper you would see the incentive people have to spin things in their own fashion...

If you like to talk then I am definitely the right person to be conversing with. We could talk about who is in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Hyperdimensional Physics, Global Politics, Musicians, Anything...

I admit that dating isn't the sole purpose of creating this page, but I'll give you my thoughts on it haha...

Okay, I don't believe in first dates... I believe in first hangouts... When two people are on a first date its impossible to get to know who they really are because each person is too busy acting like they think the other would like more... I prefer no pressure hangin out...

What would we do? We could walk in the park, grab lunch at one of those outdoor cafes, go down to the river and skip some rocks... Anything really... Sometimes the best plan is no plan at all and see where the day takes you...
