I am a single parent raising my young boy who is both the apple of my eye and the thorn in my side. I am currently a returning student at Lindenwood, studying communications, and I also freelance as a videographer. Working freelance allows me to arrange my schedule to be flexible, which is something I have found I really value as of late. And, I love working with kids, helping them discover and develop their gifts and talents.

I like going out for new experiences: new restaurants, new venues for entertainment. I love watching movies in theater and at home. Independent ones are my favorites.

I enjoy photography and writing, playing music. As far as what I listen to, I like Jose Gonzalez, Jack Johnson, the Bird and the Bee, Ingrid Michaelson, some John Mayer, and the soundtrack to Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog.

Favorite authors are Donald Miller, Brennan Manning, Anne Lamott, Michael Yachonelli, Susan E. Isaacs, and some of Steven King's nonfiction.

oh, yeah. i am also a bit of a smart-ass, but you should get enough laughs from me to make up for any annoyances or embarrassments that arise from said smart-assery. just a fair heads up for ya. ;)

well, i want to leave some of it a surprise, but something with a little activity to it sounds more interesting than just dinner and a movie. bike-riding, a walk around a park, or some kind of game that lends itself to both fun and conversation.
