My name is Emily, but I have quite a few nicknames. All my closest friends call me Emili (emil-eye). I've lived in the Portland area for about a year now and I live with my long time friend and her boyfriend's family. I have five roommates, so life is never dull. I'm not working very much right now so I try to keep busy on my down time. I spent a good chunk of my life in Newport, OR but I was born in Laguna Beach. I don't know many people around here, I'm pretty shy, but I've been working on being more outgoing.

Basicly there are two very clear sides to my personality.

One side is the outgoing, fun side:
I'll take any opportunity to go out and socialize. I've had an anxiety disorder my whole life so I like to challenge myself. I love hanging out with my friends, and also getting to meet new people. I don't drink too often, but I like to going to bars and clubs. I love going to concerts and seeing live music. I've been really into electronic and DJ music lately (Royksopp, Junior Boys, Daft Punk, BT). I like the outdoors a lot, hiking, camping. I like trying new things, and I love to travel, even if its just a road trip to California.

Other side is the introverted artist:
Art is a major part of my life. It runs in my family. I have a huge creative side and I think a lot of my personality comes from that. I can be very quite and shy. As much as I like being around people I also need time to myself. I like going for walks where its quiet. I like having time to think about life. I love going for long drives, thats when I get the best thinking done. Sometimes I can be a bit of a home body. I like to get out, but I also enjoy chillin at home and watching movies, or reading.

I'm always the neutral party in any situation. I'm a good listener and a lot of people come to me for advice. I don't like drama or bullsh*tof any kind so I try to stay out of that. I don't like to take life too seriously and I hate it when other people do. I don't like to make things over complicated. I find the good in almost every situation, I never regret anything. I like to laugh a lot and enjoy myself. Sometimes I get tired of being the responsible adult so I like to goof off and be silly when I can. I've had a really hard year so I look for every opportunity to relax.

On the negative side I can be very opinionated and straight forward which many people don't like. I'm good at reading people and I can tell when most people are lying, but I have a huge capacity for understanding. I come from a long line of bullheaded women and its just a part of who I am. I definitely need people around me who have a spine.

Right now everything in my life is up in the air, so it would be nice to just get to know someone new and have fun. I'm pretty open to any kind of relationship, even just friends considering I don't have many.
