I'm a smart guy. Well, I mean I couldn't hack it as a physics major in college, but I almost was able to pull it off. My major ended up being History, which was interesting and fun. I've thought about going into education, either as a full-time teacher or as a sub. I currently work at a tea shop at the mall and despite the low pay, it's the most rewarding job I've had. I like it so much, I actually started drinking tea, which is all I drink nowadays.

I play video games quite a bit, and have been doing so since I could hold a controller. I prefer RPGs or strategy games, but gimme a good FPS and I'm set. Platformers make me nostalgic and in a good way.

I'm a huge fan of older sci-fi books; Heinlein, Asimov, Herbert, Clark, etc. I've taken a liking to Terry Pratchett's Discworld in the last few years.

Musically, I like rock until you get to the really, REALLY heavy stuff where you can't make out anything coherent anymore. I'm fairly easy going with music in general, though. I'll even listen to stuff I normally can't stand, so long as it's in small amounts. Do not get me started on Jason Mraz, however.

Movies I have an eclectic taste in; anything that's not jaw-droppingly awful is fine by me. As for TV, I really only watch [as] these days, with the Daily Show/Colbert Report thrown in for taste. I miss MST3K.

Ideally, we would find a quiet bar somewhere we we can talk without having to shout over volcanically loud music. If the entire day was available, there's a bunch of museums and the zoo down in Forest Park that's free. Which is something I haven't done in quite a long time anyway, so it'd be a nice change of pace altogether.
