| | I prefer intelligent men who are well-read, well-spoken and good conversationalists; love a healthy debate over a glass of wine (do you like Shiraz?), even if it's just to decide who is cooking I have a great sense of humor and appreciate that in others, as well as an easy laugh; a lover of music and cooking would be a plus. I’m a great cook, enjoy entertaining and get togethers with family and friends. That being said, I also enjoy quiet time together, either over dinner or a movie, and a shared bottle of wine. I have a passion for old, vintage things – I was thinking mostly of antiques! I am creative and artistic. I love my children, Christmas and Halloween, movies, photography, history, soul music, blues, Eric Clapton and The Temptations, golden retrievers, auctions. I've given up trying to rationalize my infatuation with LOST and Ghost Hunters, and decided to just enjoy them! I am interested in lots of things and can even be convinced to watch sports, especially baseball and hockey.
At the moment, I'm listening to Raising Sand by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss; the last book I read was Eric Clapton's autobiography and last movie was Gran Torino (loved it).
I appreciate history, art and architecture, and my list of places to visit includes the British Isles, Paris and Rome; I have a new passport and can't wait to fill it with stamps.
I have worked out the things that count for me in life and relationships: honesty, integrity, respect, thoughtfulness, optimism, a sense of fun, and the ability to challenge and be challenged, all given and received in kind. A combination of old-fashioned manners mixed with a bit of modern man would be nice! Please ask me for a photo if you're interested. |
