I love to cook and I'm told I'm pretty good at it. I used to work in kitchens in what seems to be another life; however being on my feet all day was not the way to go. I now work downtown Chicago as a Business Systems Programmer/Analyst. I love my job and am happy that I found something else that I love.

I am a big hearted guy that is willing to drop everything to help out a friend in need. Sometimes to a fault. I love to get outside and live. There is always something to do so why sit around? Don't get me wrong, after a long day it's nice to veg out for a bit and enjoy the peace of my home. I am a very outgoing guy, the kind of guy that will spark up a conversation with anyone at anytime. Get up to from the table at a restaurant and don’t be surprised if I’m chatting with the busboy when you return. I am well grounded and down to earth guy that can get along with anyone who is responsive. I'm told I have an interesting way of looking at the world. I like to think of it as an optimistic view point. It also may have something to do with my unusual sense of humor. I sometimes confuse myself with my humor lol

I try to stay in shape, mentally as well as physically. I am in extreamly good shape for my age. I kinda peeve people off because I can’t say I watch what I eat, I eat what I like. Luckily for me, what I like isn’t all that bad for you. I am the typical steak and potatoes guy. No foo foo food over here.

I would like to find a women who is happy with who she is and is looking toward the future and not dwelling in the past. I’ve dated my share of Debbie downers, nothing against Debbie ;) and it is a drag on the whole relationship. I would like to find someone who will let me cook them a meal every once in awhile, cuddle up on the sofa and catch a movie at home but is willing to jump on the back of my bike, grab on tight and roll through some gorgeous countryside. Someone who understands that walking hand in hand in the park is much more important then being seen at a hot club.

It is hard to say exactly what I would do on the first date. I have many things I enjoy and I guess I would find something we both would like and go from there. I think it is important to be able to converse without yelling, so a cup of coffee or just a walk in a park would be nice. I do love to eat, so dinner and a movie is always a welcome date.
