I can get passionate about anything I love. I love God, my family, writing, reading, and sports (especially baseball). Of course, I love and like other things as well, but I am not about to try to fit all of that in this little box. I guess to sum it up...Im passionate about life. You only get one...so live it or die trying =)

The most important quality in myself, and the person I would like to share my life with, would probably be strength. I think it is important to be strong - to be strong enough to be true to yourself, to be strong enough to be honest, to be strong enough to be wrong, and to be strong enough to be who you are and not what you think the world wants you to be.

I also think its important to have a good sense of humor. Life is rough, if you can't laugh, its even rougher.

So, what can I say about myself? Born and raised in the South, Ive lived in North Carolina all my life (globetrotter I am not...but would love to see more of the world if I get the chance).

As far as looks go, Im 5'2" in heels, about 110 pounds soaking wet, with mud brown hair, and ocean blue eyes.

I like spring days, the mountains, the smell of fresh cut grass, reading, writing, long Sunday drives, sweet iced tea, porch swings, daisies, fireplaces on cold nights, writing real letters instead of emails, puppy breath, bendy straws, Texas Hold'em, falling asleep to the rain, mini-golf, laughing too loud, staying up too late, and not acting my age.

I dislike liver, cigarette smoke, hospitals, cold floors on bare feet, working retail, getting up early, control top panty hose, being cold, people who have no sense of humor, the designated hitter, interleague play, reality tv, hypocrites, liars, NASCAR, littering, Nancy Grace, mean and/or stupid people, doing laundry, and people who dislike dogs.

I bat right, throw right, and wouldn't be caught dead voting right. My favorite color is blue. My favorite number is 11. My heroes are Joan of Arc, Ghandi, Keith Olbermann, Stephen Colbert, and Calvin and Hobbes =)

Im a big sports fan, especially when it comes to baseball (although I like watching college hoops, hockey, and the occasional football game, too).

I graduated from NC State in 2004 with a B.A. in Communications (I originally wanted to be a sportswriter) and from NC Central University in 2008 with my M.L.S. (Master's in Library Science for the non-nerds). Just for the record, I currently hold a job that has absolutely nothing to do with either of those degrees.

I honestly have no idea what a perfect first date would be. I would enjoy the typical dinner and a movie, but I could also get excited about going to a ball game or having an impromptu picnic in the park. I consider myself to be pretty easy to get along with and Im usually up for anything fun.
