About Me
I just moved to San Diego from Nantucket, MA. Yes, I am the man from Nantucket. I've been moving around a lot, and I think I found the place where I want to settle down. San Diego is amazing! I don't know why anyone would ever want move away.
About me? That's tough. If you were to ask one of my friends, they would probably tell you that I'm way to nice, very laidback, honest, helpful, ridiculously fun, way more than a little spontaneous, nerdier than the guy you knew in high school that had a pocket protector, and some may say I'm a little strange, but who isn't. Right? I think those people are just jealous that they're not having as much fun as I am.
I graduated from FSU in 07 with my degree in meteorology, and I minored in math and physics. This further proves the point I brought up earlier about being a nerd. I used to teach algebra, algebra II, and calculus to high school kids with learning disabilities, and did a lot of work with kids who are autistic. Now I'm working a sales job for an eco-friendly remodeling company, and it's pretty cool, but I think the call to teach is becoming more of a scream, so I'm considering going back to school for my masters.
I'm a pretty adventurous person. In the fall of 2008, I rode my bicycle 1,217 miles from Providence, RI to Jacksonville, FL. It was without question, the most incredible trip I have ever been on, as well as a life changing experience. Recently, I rode my motorcycle down the east coast, and then cross country to here, which was pretty fun, too. I've surfed the entire east coast, the entire west coast, and a good portion of Central America, and I want to surf the rest of the world.
As far as my interests go, I have to say that surfing is my passion, and nothing can replace it. I'm a big fan of mountain biking, running, working out, camping, hiking, hurricanes, surfing hurricanes, music, dancing, wine, good beer, thunderstorms, funny people, smart people, surfing naked, starlit ocean swims, cliff jumping, and much more than I can list here.
Who am I looking for? I've been single for awhile, and I'm finally ready to settle down. I'd like to meet a girl who can keep up with me, whether it be in the water, on a bike, or in witty banter. (I'm a bit of a smart-ass) I really like tall girls, but I don't discriminate against those that are vertically challenged, and I'm a sucker for beautiful eyes and a smile to match.
I think I've been pretty thorough, but if you have any questions, would love to answer them...
