About Me
Life is a wonderful series of adventures. I love the energy of other people, and the unintentional comedy that is humanity. Sometimes I'm the life of the party... sometimes I like to sit back and watch the world unfold around me. I am never bored.
I'm naturally curious and analytical, and love to play with words in any medium. I really enjoy a lively discussion, no matter how silly or serious the subject. And of course... solving all the problems of the world while we're at it! I find it interesting to look for the patterns and consistencies (or inconsistencies) in life, the universe and everything. Good humour; banter; the "meaning of life" -- these are all ingredients for a great conversation. I love a challenge, and I can dish it out too.
I truly enjoy living in Toronto. I live downtown and I walk everywhere! It's never far to find a good place to shoot pool, try a new restaurant, do some people-watching, or enjoy one of the many entertainment options. Live music in a bar on Queen Street... browsing the markets (Kensington and St Lawrence)... enjoying a summer patio... checking out a new restaurant - these are all great ways to spend an afternoon or evening. Fine dining is a wonderful treat, but I'm no food snob! It's just as much fun to hunt for tasty and affordable grub, and discover new out-of-the way places and greasy spoons. I'm a big Raptors/NBA fan, and during the season you can often find me at the ACC cheering on my team.
Although I am definitely a city girl, it's also fun to get out of town for an adventure now and then. Road trip!
Another passion in my life is cooking and entertaining. I love to invite a gang of friends over for any occasion - and if there's no occasion handy, I'll just make it up! Like my Orphan's Thanksgiving, or the ever-popular "Hey, I found a new recipe that looks interesting. Wanna come over on Saturday?". Good friends, yummy food, great conversation, and lots of laughter... it doesn't get much better than that.
Musically, I like older stuff - 60s/70s/80s. I love the energy and wonder of 50s/60s pop. It's like they felt they were inventing music for the first time, and in a way they were! I grew up in the 70s/early 80s, and love a lot of classic rock 'n' roll and its evolution - Stones, CCR, Seger, Dire Straits, The Clash... you get the idea. And of course 80s music is just plain fun - I could dance all night to those tunes! (Okay, maybe not ALL night... I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not 20 any more!) I've recently discovered the awesomeness of Ron Hawkins, Stephen Stanley, and the Lowest of the Low. Lately I've been seeing quite a bit of live music - Lee's Palace, the Rivoli, El Mocambo, Graffiti's... it's been fun! Got any recommendations?
I enjoy meeting like-minded people who are bright, articulate, and irreverent. Those who don't take life too seriously, yet know when it's time to be an adult. Your basic "partner in crime". I've met a lot of wonderful people on this site, across time zones and continents - many through the POF forums. I am always interested in meeting new friends, and if something more should develop... well, that could be fun!

The possibilities are endless, but would likely include some or most of the following: tasty food, lively conversation, a patio or fun café, beverages hot or cold, trash talk, ice cream, solving all the problems of the world, and me kicking your butt at pool.

 | A woman in Toronto hence the name TO Woman! Well...besides sugar & spice, she's everything nice. A straight shooter that occasionally shoots from the corner pocket to double bank the cue ball and still get the 8 in the hole...and she CALLS it like it is. Pure energy and a flair for life.  | One of the wonderful things about this site is meeting new friends. Especially the bright, attractive and funny ones. TO_Woman is all that, I've been fascinated with her intelligence, charmed by her grace and nearly fallen out of my chair laughing at her razor sharp wit. On top of all that, she is a lovely woman in so many ways. I've known her to be a dear, true friend one who really cares and spends so much of her time here helping others. It's a joy to see, she's giving and enthusiastic. Any man who had the honor of spending time with her should count his lucky stars, she is anything and more than any man could want.
