Divorced after 16 years of marriage and living in the triad of NC. I have an extremely stable life; probably boring to most. I have no children, but I do belong to a Bichon Frise rescue group, so there are always white fluffs running around and don't be surprised to see me walking through an airport with a cage. I work fulltime, have my own home and live next door to an elderly mom that is very independent, yet has the "rebellious teenager" attitude. I love beach music and shaggin', going to beach clubs in the area or at North Myrtle, cooking, reading,gambling at Harrah's in Cherokee, and riding motorcycles. I've always been happiest at the beach and I'd really like to be able to retire there one day. For entertainment close to home, I frequent the Internet Sweepstakes; never hurts to take a few chances on the slots !

I am Christian although I haven't actually practiced in several years. At some point, I'm hoping that I find my direction. I would like to attend "church" and find a "church home", but haven't found that yet. I have a sense of values and morals and would like to find someone with comparable gifts. I'm not a holy roller....nor am I a "hells angel"....but in the middle. I'm a good person, with a wicked sense of humor,a sarcastic side,incredibly honest and sincere with a few values scattered about who enjoys life and having good times....and I'm looking for the same.

I think I could be more motivated to have an active lifestyle if there was someone that I could walk with or workout with. Too often, I'm easily persuaded to do nothing but hold the fluffs LOL. "Back in the day", I was into weight lifting and body building, but obviously I'm not lifting anything now LOL. What I've noticed is that a lot of men's ads say they're looked for a "real woman". Well, a lot of us "real" women are not Barbies; but we're the type that would fit in well with your family and friends and love you to pieces.

UPDATE: Okay...back from the beach. Ya know, I took "the mamma" and while I know that 90 is old, you just don't realize how they slow down until you take them on vacation. All things considered, she did really well, never complained and seemed to enjoy sitting on the porch in the sunshine with the newspaper. My highlight was coming home and going to play the Sweepstakes...woohooo!!!

First date? I'd probably panic ! My mom thinks I've given up and I think she worries that I'll spend the rest of my life alone, but I can think of worse things. The whole idea of a first date scares the hooey out of me, but I guess there's gotta be a first before there can be a second, a third, etc. So...let's go out dining, dancing, to the library, to a coffee shop, to a christmas play, to an arts & crafts show, to a boat show, to an RV show,gambling, to the parade of homes.....just anywhere ! The housemate is always on the go; biking on her "john deere" bike and I'm totally jealous. I'd love to go to Cripple Creek, Wolf Creek, Bike Week.... Just don't bore me.
