I am ultimately looking for the one for me. I can have fun with just about anyone, but if we click, we will both know it pretty early on. Sometimes it takes a while before you know if someone is right for you or not. Until we both know how things are going we can have some good times doing anything and everything or just spending quality time with each other over a few drinks and dinner. I have been on the shy side most of my life but have tried to break away from that. I am a genuine, honest and straight forward person. I am very caring with the right person. I am very respectful to women and try to behave like a gentleman. I can also cut up and get a little risque' if my date has that type of personality. I had always thought I would have been married with a family by now, but I'm starting to get a little scared that it might never happen for me. I see other couples and wonder how that happens for them. I've tried to keep myself healthy and fit. I usually get guessed at 5 to 10 years younger. I have trouble accepting compliments. I have been told just to say thank you, but I feel silly saying that. There are many things in life that I have not yet experienced that most people my age have. I like to hang out with friends and meet new people. I also enjoy going to the gym, boating, motorcycling, swimming, music, and dancing. I do bartend part time on the weekends, mainly just for fun and some extra cash. I have enjoyed it and it has helped me with my shyness and meeting people I don't know or would normally never have had the chance to talk to. I think I am a rare find. I have heard several times that I am different from most men, in a good way. I'm sure I could use a little training in areas I'm not yet familiar with. Initial attraction is important. On-line dating is basically an ad advertising yourself where you can describe who you are, what you want, and hopefully show what you currently look like. Photos get your attention first, then make you want to read more about the person. I generally am attracted to women who are in pretty good shape and take care of themselves. I try to keep myself in fairly good shape and would hope my match would try to do the same. I'm not a total health nut by any means, but I do workout and eat what I consider fairly healthy. I don't have a checklist on what I'm looking for in someone. I know a lot of people do and if you don't have enough checks on their list, they don't take the time to find out who you are. I do have some general preferences and certain things I find attractive in a woman, but there are trade-offs with every person. I want someone that is strong and can be independent, but also needs someone special in her life and wants to spend their life with them. Someone that knows what love really is and what it feels like. I want that feeling when you just can't wait to see each other again and it doesn't matter what you are doing, just as long as you are together. Being playful and flirting. Touching and holding, and kissing for hours. Being honest and responsible and being able to handle life's obstacles when they fall in your way. Being there for each other for anything or just a hug and to be told how special they are and that someone cares about them. Hopefully I can find someone that I am attracted to and they are to me, then we can start getting to know more about who each other are and see where the road takes us.
