I'm the Guy Next Door that perhaps you should have met instead of the one you did meet. I am blessed with loads of "practical" thinking & abilities - but not too geeky. I never used a pocket protector, but I do know a PC pretty well & can do eBay very well.

I can do the things I need to with what I have. I'm a resourceful, easy going, average looking guy of 53. Nice & naughty too - very flexible! The picture was taken in April 2007 (the Suit Photo) and the other was several years ago in DC - just an average Joe type guy. The other two photos were taken just this past June (2009) in London. One atop a double-decker tour bus and the other from the back of a river cruise boat of the London Tower Bridge. If you are a photo snob, you likely have not even made it this far in reading my profile. If you have gotten this far, great, let's talk!

I love to eat at home, simple fare really. I don't need anything fancy, but a fancy restaurant is a welcome diversion. I like the museums (DC), Symphony, movies, travel (I loved England this Summer and plan a return again), walking, music (not Opera, hip-hop or Rap). I love the beach, fishing, the mountains, I like it all. I'm not a drinker or a party animal. If you like a glass of wine or a drink now and then its not an issue with me. I am here to meet so please, no endless emails. If you are the type to write a one line response or respond a week later, perhaps we are not a good match.

I am a man of great passion who can give of himself freely. I seek a smiling woman in my life for a change. Hold my hand as I hold yours, walk with me - beside me.

I didn't put in a lot of "qualifications" below for two reasons. It's should be obvious to anyone who reads my profile that I am interested in a lady who is single or divorced and that is over 35 and under 60, near my location and has similar qualities as me. It just makes sense so why state the obvious. Second, putting in a huge list of qualifications just seems so negative to me and I don't want to be negative in any way.

I don't need coffee in the morning, but some jolt is needed to get going - Coke or Pepsi does good for that. I'll have Coke and you can have coffee - deal? Drop by won't you?

A first date....... Something simple and not distracting sounds good. It would give us a chance to talk and get to know each other a bit. Ice Cream in a quiet booth? That would be a great place to start. The ice cream or milk shake could occupy one while the other talks - and the quietness of a booth to listen to it all. It gives security in a public place, plus, you get to eat ice cream while meeting someone who may be a really great experience. I like to think positive about the possibilities. My glass is always half full! What about yours?
