So yes, I am on here to find my best friend, someone who is real. If I have you on my favorites, it's because I like your profile and what you have to say about yourself.

So I've recently been automatically upgraded to a serious member. Thanks a lot, pof. lol (I hear some have to pay for that, lol) don't know if I should be flattered that they want to help me get noticed more, or feel pathetic for having been on here long enough that I've been classified it was enough to make me want to rewrite my profile, because I'm obviously doing something wrong and they must want to fix it for me. So here goes the new one.

So yes again, I just started looking into these online dating services because I thought it would be a good way to meet new people, with common interests. I was hesitant at first until friend said what do you have to lose. So, about my life and what I'm looking for? Where should I begin? And how not to sound like every other profile? I guess I will start off with the basics. I've never actually done this whole online date meeting thing before so I'll try to give it my best shot. I would like to introduce myself to you, My name is Gregory, and I'm single, I'm 44 years old, never been married. Hopefully you are like me in the thinking that age is solely a number. It's how old you feel that matters. They say love holds no age. Anyway, I live in East Boston, Mass. I am an independent, open minded guy who would love to be pampered, (been single too long). So yes, currently I live by myself alone, home suburban, apartment, no pets, I am very active. So, my hair is clean cut, I am 6'1, my hair is short dark brown, I have hypnotic big brown piercing eyes and with, big sexy chest, muscular legs, great sexy calves & a short trimmed mustache & nails clean & no tattoos. Also, describes himself as good looking and has an average build. I search for you beautiful. So yes, I would like to start out by telling you a little about myself again. As you may already I am a down to earth man, who loves life, and lives it to it's fullest. I enjoy spending time both indoors & outdoors. As far as music goes, I love so many types. It depends on my mood as to what I will be listening to, but I'm open to most type of music. So yes, I love to travel, but haven't gone away in a while, (so this could be you). I also enjoy cooking, and I enjoy dining home & out too. Yes, I am very, very affectionate nice warm loving person. I am a very considerate, and honest person too. I take a lot of pride in myself, so it is very important to me that my partner does to. I am spontaneous. I think it is very important not to sweat the small stuff because life is to short. I also need to have that physical attraction as well as good communication. So remember, physical attraction is important but in my book, it only goes so far. So, I am basically looking for someone who is nice to me. I know this sounds simple, but it is very hard to find. Also, I want someone who appreciates me too. I am far from perfect, but maybe you could laugh at my faults and cherish my strengths. (fun, easy going, lovable, huggable and chewable) Any ways I'm a very easy going warm guy who loves life. So, yes, love the fact that there is always something to explore in life and always willing to learn new things that life has to offer. So, I'm also what most people would term a "true romantic". I have a great deal of depth to me. I am a creative person with a positive outlook on life. I try to see things from both sides of the table, and I'm not afraid to stand my ground for what I believe in passionately. I love to dance, and I dance with passion. I have a heart of gold and am brimming over with love to share with the right person.

So, Gregory's final thoughts, dating sites are just another avenue to meet people. I don't think that people are desperate if they have a profile on a dating site or like to meet people this way. Sometimes you can learn more about someone through chatting versus someone who asks you out at a bar. I meet people in various capacities, through work, and social activities, so this is just another avenue to add. Meeting people online is great because you meet people that you otherwise wouldn't have come across in your general daily activities.

So anyway, yes we are all searching on this site, but, there is a difference between searching for someone that is going to complete you, as opposed to searching for someone that is going to add something extra. We've all had our hearts broken (isn't that why we're here?) and I don't want to be the cause or recipient of another one. Besides, how do you go straight to long-term without dating first? I am searching for the latter. So, enough about me, I hope I have filled in the gaps. I will give you a while to mull it over and perhaps I will hear back from you. Well, I think I've said my peace. I'm leaving my old notes on here too, because they are still valid, regardless of my pof status. And I hope I haven't come across as a bitter man I'm not. I just know what I want, and would expect that you would too, so honesty is the best way to go. Yes, perhaps I'll meet the one who can make that happen? (although, this is a free site, and you get what you pay for so I'll probably drop off on my own eventually)
