I went to Washington State University, and my degree was a BA in History. I am working security right now, and am working on getting a police career. I've been told my history degree would open the door for me to get into detective work, which is what I really want to do with my life.

What do I do with my time off? I love playing board games, when I can get enough people together for it. I play video games when I have nothing else to do, my favorites being the horror movie/zombie type. Speaking of zombies, I am very interested in zombie films/games/books. If you have ever read The Zombie Survival Guide, then we have much to discuss!

Nerdiness aside, I also enjoy movies. I haven't seen as many as most people, but I got Netflix not too long ago and have been catching up. Lately I've been into mobster movies/shows. My favorite movies/tv shows of all time include The Thing, Red Dawn, Big Trouble in Little China, Robot Chicken, Battlestar Galactica, and Southpark.

I love music, and have it playing pretty much all the time. I am really into metal and stoner rock (I am not a stoner, I just like the music). Some of my current favorite bands are: Hammerfall, Iced Earth, Epica, Monster Magnet, Linkin Park, Anthrax, The Offspring, Lordi, Therion, Kyuss, Green Carnation, The Union Underground, Freezepop, Ladytron, and Stabbing Westward. If you have even heard of most of those bands (aside the mainstream ones), then I would be very surprised.

My sense of humor can best be described as facetious, but that's really a side of me people see when they actually get to know me :) Facetious humor has a way of getting me in trouble when someone I don't know takes something completely the wrong way...

Politically, I am a libertarian. I am not one to push my beliefs on others, but I definitely enjoy a good debate from time to time. Religiously, I would consider myself an agnostic Christian.

I just moved to Seattle, so I am hoping to meet some people and learn the area more. I am trying to get out and go to some of the local concerts around town, but it just really is not something I enjoy doing alone.

Oh yeah, and the beard is now gone. I had to shave it off for work :(

Coffee is always a winner, and Seattle has no lack of coffee shops. Either that or go to Alki beach. Maybe both. Gameworks was a lot of fun the one time I went before, so that would definitely work as a first date too. I am still learning Seattle, so I may update this in the future.
