I am a petite woman who is outgoing and loves the outdoors. Much of my free time is spent playing and listening to music or going with friends to hear music. I belong to an African percussion band which plays at bars and music festivals, from time to time. That's my hobby, though, not my profession. I am a teacher by trade.

I am involved heavily in spiritual practice especially meditation and Eastern practices.

The type of man I would like to meet is someone 40 or older who is physically fit, values calmness and has a strong commitment to social responsibility. He may also love gardening, which is another hobby of mine. I get along best with men who are either musically inclined or interested in spiritual practice or volunteerism.

I value people who are intellectual and articulate and who value their own independence. I am an independent person who values having my own activities and opinions, not just immersing myself in a romantic relationship.

I prefer men who are outgoing and social and can be outspoken when the occasion calls for it.

I love my work but also balance it with my free time and the activities important to me during that time. I also find travelling exciting and educational.
