About me, I'm 28yo very outdoorsy, very mellow, and definitely looking for a long term relationship. I feel like I am getting old. I have friends who are turning 30 and they cry about it, I already feel like I am there. I am not sure what I want to do for a living, but I am beginning to feel pretty desperate about figuring it out. I was pursuing a B.A. in Accounting from state but it is too expensive without taking out loans and I'd rather just get a job. I recently finished a Plumbing I course and am currently pursuing jobs in that field, more just to tide me over until something better comes along or as a backup plan in case I can't get in with the other careers I am pursuing. My most current endeavor is finishing my degree in Fire Protection Technology and trying to become a fire fighter, ideally for CDF.
My taste in music is very broad. I don't really like most hip hop or country but other than those two genres I like it all. My favorite bands right now would be Nick Drake, John Butler, Fishbone, Hendrix, Guns and Roses, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Kaki King, Audioslave, Dave Matthews Band, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers to name a few. As far as movies,I mostly enjoy comedy, documentaries, and some action. Off the cuff I'd say Trading Places and Clerks are two of my all time favs. As far as TV I enjoy the Travel Channel and Discovery, and Fox news---kidding, I do like the Daily Show and sometimes enjoy Colbert. Oh yeah, Family Guy is one of my favs, Chappelle is awesome too. Since I only have basic cable I would say comedy central is my fav channel.
I don't have much of a social life. I am a bit of a homebody. My two best friends moved to the bay area about two years ago and I haven't really made any new ones.
I like surfing, reading, hanging out at the beach or sunset cliffs, a good beer or a nice glass of wine, sushi, I am an avid yoga practitioner and try to jog at least 10 miles a week. Over the last couple of years I have become a bit of a health nut, I like to cook/prepare 75% of my meals.
well that was all pretty random I live in Point Loma btw....
Also, to clarify on my desire for a long term relationship... What I mean is I am here for dating, but IDEALLY (and I am somewhat of an idealist) it would develop into a LTR. In a perfect world I would be married. One of my biggest desires in life is to meet a woman who (and I know this sounds lame but there is no other way to describe it) "completes" me. My perfect counterpart. The Yin to my Yang. However you want to think about it. My overall point being I am not a man who is afraid of/avoids commitment or monogamy, I prefer it. Also, I would say if you live more than 2o miles from me it is going to be difficult to cultivate a relationship. Not impossible, but there would have to some seriously strong chemistry for it to last. The closer we live the easier it is to see each other. I really think it is that simple. When I have a girlfriend I want to see her multiple times throughout the week, sometimes just lunch or dinner, but constant physical contact is the key to a lasting relationship is what I have found in the past.
I don't need to exchange a hundred e mails or im for hours before meeting, I am pretty spontaneous, I am down to meet up after an e mail or two. But not opposed to chatting online or exchanging 10 or so emails before meeting.

A juice bar, regular bar, live music, the mall, lunch, dinner, a walk on the beach, a hike, it's all circumstantial something simple and somewhere we can hear each other talk.
